- Night - I love walking around at night especially when I am overseas. Places are usually quiet then. It also gives me a
chance to record a scene in an entirely different - to use a pun - light.
- Places Of Worship - I started photographing the interiors of places of worship a number of years ago. I find the buildings
to be fascinating, not only in terms of architecture but also because each has its own unique sense of space and solemnity. In order to achieve
a level of conformity for the portfolio I take each shot from the back of the aisle near the entrance door and point my camera toward the altar.
You can read about how a typical image is finished in the 'Before and After' gallery. These days I photograph fewer such buildings because of
restrictions in the use of flash (which I never use) or a tripod (which is essential). Without the use of one or the other of these instruments,
photographing a dark church is hardly feasible.
